Pocketful of Cloud is a small personal webcomic based in Denmark. We try to collect as little data as possible and use data only to run the site, send the newsletter if you subscribe, keep the site secure, and understand basic site usage and technical problems.

Website

When you visit this site, the web server, Ghost, and related infrastructure may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, referrer, timestamps, and similar log data.

This information is used for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and keeping the site running. We do not use it for advertising profiles.

Cookies

Ghost may use essential cookies for site operation, admin login, member/newsletter functionality, and security. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

Newsletter / email signup

If you subscribe to the Pocketful of Cloud newsletter, we process the email address you provide and information needed to send and manage the newsletter. This may include signup time, confirmation status, delivery events, unsubscribe status, and basic email diagnostics provided by Ghost or the configured email provider.

The newsletter is intended as a manually approved weekly digest. We do not sell subscriber data. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in newsletter emails.

Email provider

Newsletter and member emails may be sent through Ghost and a configured email delivery provider such as Mailgun. The provider processes email data as necessary to deliver messages, prevent abuse, and provide delivery diagnostics.

If you email hello@pocketful-of.cloud, your message and email address are processed so we can read and respond to your message.

Analytics

We use self-hosted, privacy-friendly Umami analytics to understand basic site usage such as page views, referrers, and which pages are being read. This helps us improve the archive and daily comic workflow.

Umami is configured without advertising profiles and does not require tracking cookies. We do not use analytics for ad targeting.

Social platforms

Pocketful of Cloud may post links and images to social platforms such as Bluesky, Mastodon, Instagram, Threads, Tumblr, Facebook, Pinterest, or others. If you interact with Pocketful of Cloud on those platforms, the privacy policies of those platforms apply to that interaction.

Data retention

Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for operation, security, troubleshooting, and backups. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to any technical backup retention.
